Alexis

Alexis is a YouTuber living on the Upper West Side. She films her daily life, uploading vlogs to over 85,000 subscribers. She was featured in The New York Times in May.

Alexis has lived on the Upper West Side for almost four years. She spoke with me outside her first apartment in the neighborhood, on 85th Street.

Being a YouTuber, she describes viewing the neighborhood through a cinematic lens, but also enjoys the authentic connections she has made living here. While noticing some changes, she believes the overall low-key and family-oriented vibes have persisted.
